Children's Emergency Fund

When disaster strikes, it is children who are the most vulnerable. Many lose their families, their homes, their schools, even their lives. Today, one in four children are living in countries affected by emergencies. Unicef responds to an average of 300 emergencies every year. Many of these crises are not highlighted by the media and children are at risk of suffering in silence.

The Children’s Emergency Fund means Unicef can be there for children in danger, wherever and whenever conflict or natural disaster strikes. Unicef can deliver life-saving food, clean water and medicine, as well as provide a safe place for children to learn. Thanks to support from the Eleva Foundation, Unicef can keep children safe.
